Affordability is our priority for our customers. For that reason, we provide new and refurbished stair lifts to our customers. Our refurbished stair lifts come from the home of another stair lift user much like you or your loved one.

When we select a unit to be refurbished, we process the unit at our in-house facility. The equipment is put through a battery of tests to ensure the equipment is safe and reliable to be sold to another customer. Our stair lift technicians clean and test the stair lift for good working order. Then we inspect the stair lift for defects, replace worn and/or malfunctioning parts, change batteries, and test all parts.

If you have a stair lift in your home that is no longer in use and is less than 7 years old, Pelton’s is interested in acquiring the following make and model used stair lifts:

•    Sterling/Handicare
•    TK Access Model 40 Excel
•    TK Access Select Model 42

Simply contact us using our stair lift buyback form. If your stair lift qualifies for our in-home evaluation, we will phone you with details about setting up an appointment. We only pick up stair lifts directly from peoples’ homes within the state of Connecticut and will never require you to mail equipment to us at your expense for an evaluation.

However, if you live out-of-state, own a Sterling/Handicare model, and would like to offer or donate the equipment, you are welcome to mail the stair lift to us and we will pay for shipping. Please contact us through the stair lift buyback form so we can give you more details.
